Privacy, terms and refunds

CopyPal is a clipboard manager that keeps everything on your Mac. This page explains exactly what the app and the website do with your data, what you get when you buy a license, and how refunds work.

Privacy policy

What CopyPal stores, and where

CopyPal records what you copy — text, links, images, screenshots and the text it recognises inside images — together with the app and, for browsers, the web page each item came from. All of it is stored in a database in your user Library folder on your Mac (~/Library/Application Support/Clip). Nothing you copy is ever uploaded anywhere. There are no accounts, no analytics, no telemetry and no crash reporting.

What leaves your Mac

What CopyPal never does

Purchases

Payments are handled by Dodo Payments as merchant of record. Dodo processes your payment, applies any tax, issues the receipt and emails your license key. We receive your email address and order details from Dodo so we can support you and process refunds. See Dodo's privacy policy for how they handle payment data.

This website

copypal.app is a static site hosted on Cloudflare, which keeps standard server logs. The site sets no cookies and runs no analytics scripts. Fonts are loaded from Google Fonts, which means Google's servers see your IP address when the page loads.

Deleting your data

Use Clear History in the CopyPal menu to erase everything the app recorded, or delete the app together with the folder named above. If you want your purchase records deleted, email us and we will ask Dodo to remove what the law allows them to remove.

Terms of use

Refund policy

14 days, no questions asked. If CopyPal isn't for you, email support@copypal.app within 14 days of purchase with the email address you bought with or your license key. We refund the full amount to the original payment method through Dodo Payments; it usually shows up within 5 to 10 business days depending on your bank. The license key stops working once the refund is issued.

After 14 days, we still want to help: if CopyPal doesn't work on your Mac and we can't fix it, write to us and we will sort it out.

Contact

Questions, problems or refund requests: support@copypal.app. Inside the app, Report a Problem… in the menu writes an email with your app and macOS versions filled in.
